Iv been thinking a lot about what has happened this past year, not only in my life, but the lives of those around me.
Primark is Born, and put down…
In 2013 I began a business, into a industry that I knew nearly nothing about, I turned this business into a financial success, but closed it because of personal emotional and long term growth reasons. — There are some things I can only learn by not having a company, and therefore I sought employment, which I achieved in late November.
I met a life long mentor and inspiration, only for a moment, but the impact will last a life time; Sir Richard Branson.
Iv begun to understand the differences between big and small businesses, in most cases it is a matter of the size of their respective clients and experience. Iv seen small businesses with more class and potential than some giants, I only hope that as the titans fall, the smaller ones rise to overcome.
I met almost one hundred people, entrepreneurs, business owners, philanthropists, somebodies, nobodies, assholes and saints, successes and failures, and all of these people added to the value of my life, and the knowledge that I have attained and the experience of running, managing and administering a business.
Love; forward unto an endless dawn…
I have lived a life in the happy company of Justine Sloane for over five and a half years, and we have both grown and enriched our lives, through exercise and health, art and culture, and experience of music and popular cultural trends! Thats a weird way of saying having fun!
We have been through a lot in each others lives together and motivated each other through the tougher times. It has been a blissful ride! And I look forward to another year with Justine Sloane in my life, forever more into the future.
Culture in Life reIgnited…
Iv found the value in my imagination again, not only through my art or writing but in creative thinking in finding solutions to problems. Iv also learnt that just because you are creative doesn't mean that other creatives agree with the way you perceive the world. In fact they may detest your point of view! And thats ok, thats part of being different, people will avoid the difference until they find commonality.
Iv gained a rich appreciation for music and musicians, mostly due to most of my circle of friends being musicians. Also We are all happy that vinyl LP’s are coming back.
Marking a Great Year!
My year has been a magnificent ride of success and failure and learning, and I’m grateful for this experience. 2013 will forever be my year of freedom and growth and independence, a year that I marked as the year that I was finally able to do what I always wanted, do my own thing.
And as I move into 2014 under the banner of a new company that I hope to make a home, I look forward to a future ever brighter, ignited by the lessons of 2013.
