I love the book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. I have read it a few times now, and it has so many powerful applications, especially the “think win/win” section. It can be difficult to think with a win/win mindset, especially when you are negotiating with someone who has a win/lose mindset. Even when you are completely open and honest with the other person, you cannot force them to make a decision or change their mind, you can only do your best to see things from their perspective. I totally agree with your closing statement that our interpersonal relationships are one of the most important things in the world, and developing a win/win mindset can really help develop those relationships.
