Learn To Make A Proper Chai Latte
Spending a little too much of your hard earned cash at the cafe lately, but still need your Chai Latte fix to get through the day? We have all been there. The holidays warm the heart but drain the wallet. I’m all for supporting the local hot spot, but we all should learn how to make a few caffeinated concoctions at home — and actually make them every now and again.
Start with learning how to make a proper chai latte. Otherwise knows as a spicy, sweet, milky, cup of awesome. Perfect for those days with a chill in the air, or when your caffeine levels plummet.
What you will need:
Loose Leaf Chai {Choose and all natural blend like Brew Tea Co’s Loose Leaf Chai}
Boiling Water
Milk
Honey
Cinnamon or Nutmeg
Tea Pot
How you will do it:
1. Put four (4) scoops of loose leaf Chai tea into a 400ml tea pot. {Brew Tea Co makes a great one, but any 400ml tea pot will do.}
2. Fill with boiling water, and leave to brew for 10 mins. {A lot can be accomplished in 10 minutes — start working through your daily checklist.}
3. Pour the tea concentrate into a pot or mug and add enough cold milk to double the mixture. Heat up altogether.
4. Add a healthy teaspoon of honey to each mug, top with the Chai/milk mixture and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
And there you have it. A Chai Latte recipe to keep you warm all winter. Feel free to turn up the honey and cinnamon sprinkles to make it all your own!
