AWS re:Invent 2017 insider tips for getting the most out of your week in Las Vegas

Good tips.

I can’t believe they’re going to have keynotes all the way down @ MGM. That’s going to be a hassle.

Don’t get me started on having breakouts @ Aria, not sure how well that’s going to work for anyone.

Wynn is going to start charging for parking August 7.

Uber/Lyft between hotel/casino destinations is pretty easy, cheaper than cabs, and much cheaper than car rental+parking fees. Getting between hotels on the strip is usually $5-ish, Strip to Fremont Street (Downtown) is about $12.

When staying @ Venetian, I like going across the street to the Uber/Lyft pickup area @ TI. The Uber/Lyft pickup at Venetian/Palazzo is a bit inconvenient.

If you really want to get offsite for part of a day, then rent a car. There’s a rental counter for various providers in each hotel.
