For anyone who doesn’t know, Scotcoin is a digital currency, developed in Scotland, in 2014 and originally built by scots for Scots but we now have over 3500 holders of the coin from all parts of the world (below is an actual map of where our holders are from).

Countries around the world who have Scotcoin account holders

Due to high fees on the Counterparty protocol, which sits on the Bitcoin Blockchain and to move the coin around and to pay for goods and services we decided to move to our own private, fully permissioned blockchain hopefully by the end of 2018. Our new blockchain will be fully KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti Money Laundering) compliant to Financial services organisations such as http://FCA.org.uk .
