Today we work…

Eight years ago, Republicans met for dinner to work out how they were going to handle Obama and his administration.

They decided to block him at every chance, fight every nomination, work against any challenger who would take away their hold on Congress, and it worked.

Today, at the beginning of a new administration, this is what those of us who care more about our country than party affiliation, about our standing in the world and not our standing within our party.

Today is the first day in which we take back our country.

We must organize, protest, and work to take make our country one for all Americans, not a privileged few.

We must act with civility and not with anger, because that is not what they’re expecting.

We must not riot, we must work peacefully unless we have no other options.
