Are you ready for the toughest job in media?

Volvo Ocean Race organisation is offering a job position that is considered so extreme their HR team had to create a dedicated website to find candidates.

Considered as one of the toughest sporting events in the world, the Volvo Ocean race lasts 9 months and takes you on a 38 000 mile journey around the world.

On top of having to endure minimal sleep, eat freeze-dried food and forget coffee breaks, you should also have “James Bond” skills in media production :

Video production: including camera work, audio gathering; editing (Adobe Premiere Pro), archiving.
Photography: shooting, editing, archiving.
Writing: the ability to write creatively and informatively in English (additional languages an absolute bonus).
Drones: experience in piloting of drones.

Not to mention you have to do all of these tasks as the race goes on as every boat is equipped with a satellite connection.

If you have ever been on a boat, chances are you know the feeling of getting sea sick while doing any task inside the boat on a windy day. Now imagine editing for couple hours.

More people have been to the moon than have performed the role of Onboard Reporter in the Volvo Ocean Race. Think you have what it takes? Well, you’re in luck.
