I became mortally afraid that someone would ask me what I was doing and I would be forced to say, “Editing my novel,” and admit to owning the thing.
Editing is More Rewarding than I Expected

I almost choked laughing at this line.

A very self-deprecating and humorous piece. It not only entertains the frustrating act of editing, but specifically entangles it with the writing process, and the writer themself, as a sum of all parts.

Few writers realize how closely writing and editing are intertwined. You’ve managed to approach it without belittling the need for the editing process, which so many writers tend to abhor.

Aspiring writers should be reading this to get an idea of how important the editing process can be to the act of writing.

Thanks for a great read!
