Internet, Stop Offering Me “Life Hacks”

Well put! Good article!

“Life hack” is a phrase high on my try-to-ignore-title list, hovering somewhere between “disruptive” (in all its ridiculous forms) and “take it to the next level” (in its many tired and lifeless incarnations). They all became cliches some time ago but no one seems to want to move past them.

Writing progresses more creatively when writers choose to spit out the savourless perception of cliches and challenge the marrow of language in new and tasteful recipes.
