Coffee, Birthday Brunch & Beer
Date #807 — Sunday, February 28, 2016
A: This was a big social Sunday for us and we were full up to enjoy it. Coffee, brunch, and beer — yum. We went to Farmhouse Tavern and then Junction Brewery. We also checked out the Toronto Distillery after B left and tried beet vodka which was surprisingly yummy! I love that B and I have awesome friends like Karolina who like to explore the city like we do!
B: Our friend Karolina chose a great place for brunch for her birthday. We’ve shared a lot of adventures with Karolina and it was so great to go and hangout with her on her birthday. I really like her and how close the three of us are.
We had a great brunch that was warm and comforting and filling. I don’t indulge in brunch often, but I really love it. I like eggs and butter and hearty vegetables, so brunch can really be fantastic.
After we walked to a brewery nearby. I wanted to get coffee first so I scoped a few places on the way. Everyone seemed really uncertain of which way to go, so instead of talking about it I looked up the directions and started walking. As people asked, “are we sure this is the way?” I said, “Yep! and walked on ahead.” I think group dynamics can be funny this way — it’s really easy to question something and hope someone else does the work.
When we got to the brewery I couldn’t stay long because I had to work at Basecamp. I really wanted to stay as we were having a lot of fun.
