I think I may have been unclear…I apologize. My message here is not that tutoring is inherently unethical. I am only trying to suggest that we all, as parents, try to give our kids “an edge.” That mind set is natural; we want the best for our kids and will do whatever we can to help them achieve. However, this thinking, when taken to its extreme, often results in parents doing their children’s homework for them or hiring tutors to write papers and college essays. My overall point is that, as parents, we need to recognize all the “micro-cheats” we model day to day. Thanks for reading!
