Thank you for this article, which deftly summarizes everything I so want to hit people over the head with. Or tear out my hair over.

It seems, also, that the “vote your conscience” angle is being pushed aggressively by third-party candidates as a branding exercise to recast what it means to vote, in a way explicitly beneficial to them, while painting it as being explicitly beneficial to them.

But, yeah, pointless pseudo-political theatre.
