Why You Can’t Understand What Black Americans Are Going Through

Love this, you have hit the nail on the head. It is a matter of caring what is going on in our communities outside of the four walls of self-centered lives. I love that you are a follower of Christ because he gives the solution to this problem in two tasks. Love the Lord your God with all your heart ,soul and mind and next, yes right after that as to show how important the next statement is He says”Love your neighbor as yourself”. Matt. 22:39. This is the sum of the entire old testament. That is to say this makes us a Christian people. Now,that I have said that, this means that I have to love all people, even those that are different than me. Rather that mean color, belief, aggression, opinion, political view. It doesn’t matter. He,our creator, didn't put a stipulation on that love. Nor,is he stating this view as an option.

Good example with the short person view point, that was a great way to make your point. As a white person it is hard to understand our privilege. As a matter of fact I didn’t understand until it was pointed out to me. Proving ignorance isn't always bliss. Now,that it has been brought to my attention,I can empathize and begin to help other people see this is still going on in our culture.I have always had the opinion that racism was just a dying thing. But it isn't,it is most definitely alive and well. We have to actively be aware of this if we are going to make a difference. We have the most influence in our on homes and that is where it must begin. By the way,I am one of those that was starting to see the Black Lives Matter movement as a violent one. I guess every organization has its extremists and it is wrong to blanket a whole movement or race,or belief system because a some are acting out in violence. Thanks for posting.
