If its hard for developers, its even more challenging for Product Managers since there isn’t really such a thing as a Junior Product Manager within most startups and companies. Companies usually give these graduates a chance to prove themselves if they are more early stage. I have yet to see a graduate work at a big name company from my program even though that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I agree that, as any graduate of a bootcamp, its crucial to stand out in a good way. Otherwise, you’ll get left behind.
Who you know is as important as “What are you doing right now to get noticed by companies?” Are you building an app with a lot of active users? Maybe presenting a case study of ways to improve an existing feature for an prospective employer’s product? All these little things can make the difference between getting to the next round of an interview or being told that you’re being passed on.
