An FBI agent and a journalist are among two professionals that believe the Milwaukee Cannibal was behind the brutal murder of a six-year-old Florida boy.

A decade before Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested and charged with multiple murders in Milwaukee, he was living as a homeless man on the Miami, Florida beaches. Dahmer had been recently discharged from military service after a lackluster 18 months in the U.S. Army in Germany. His erratic behavior and apparent alcoholism during his enlistment period had caught the attention of his superiors and led to his being deemed unsuitable for military service. Despite this, Dahmer was sent to Fort Jackson, South Carolina for a final debriefing and received two items that might surprise you. The first was an honorable discharge. The second was a one-way plane ticket to anywhere he wanted to go, stateside. The freshly discharged Dahmer chose the sunny city of Miami, far from his family’s home in Ohio.

After securing a job in a local deli, Dahmer moved into a cheap motel. But his drinking and poor ability to manage his finances would soon lead to eviction from his new digs. He managed to keep his job, however, and made the beaches his new home.
