Terra

The earth quakes beneath your feet, and my heart

remains piqued by the magic you’ve kept in replete.

The desiderata of man’s power

compels you to bow and cower.

Swelling eyes as you remember your crimes.

My fate rests in your tiny and wanting hands.

Born to those without intrinsic, shallow pride.

Watch breathlessly as your life’s destiny

unfolds in their wanton fool’s gold.

Through your pain’s hellish toll, I’ve watched your smile glow.

And now the world needs your ethereal fire,

to rain down on all those who would conspire to

drag you through humanity’s muck and mire.

No matter what they say Terra,

You are this world’s last ray of light- you are our hope.
