RJ City: Professional Wrestling’s Preeminent Entertainer

A star on Nickelodeon while making his name on the professional wrestling scene, RJ Skinner — — known in the ring as ‘RJ City’ — — has managed to grab national headlines throughout the course of 2018.

The foil to actor and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette’s return to wrestling, Skinner has won over new fans with his antics both in and out of the ring. The prototypical arrogant heel, Skinner is a throwback to the bad guys of old.

As if his background in acting wasn’t enough, Skinner is full proof that there is not one correct path to the ring or one style that needs to be followed once you make it. Growing up, Skinner was fully immersed into the entertainment side of professional wrestling.

“When I was growing up, I really loved wrestling and the Muppets. For me it was really neck and neck between those two shows and after I realized that it would likely be very difficult to become a Muppeteer, wrestling became number one for me. I obviously loved guys like Andre and Hogan, but I really loved Bobby Heenan because he was so hilarious. At the time I hated guys like Mr. Perfect, but with hindsight I really loved him too because he was doing his job so well.”
