Except the vast majority of football fans never get the same salary, endorsements, media exposure, and pop cultural impact that Cam Newton has. When you have the privilege of a higher economic and social status because of your talent, people expected you to also have a higher standard of character. Yes, it sucks to lose the Superbowl. No one was expecting Cam to walk into the conference with a big, fake smile, but people were expecting him to not act like a 10 year old playing Call of Duty. The fact is that while he has plenty of talent, he is a sore winner and loser. If he doesn’t learn to be more humble or at least pretend to be more humble for the cameras, that’s going to bring his career down.
