You could use an AR-15 or the like for hunting, but does anyone?

The whole reason AR-15s are so popular in this country is that its easy to modify them to do multiple roles. You can buy a longer barrel, a bipod, and a scope to make it a hunting rifle. Then when you’re done you can switch off the barrel for a shorter one, replace the scope with a red dot sight of your choosing, and now you have a weapon for home defense.

Here’s a little tip from the other side: us gun owners will be a lot more receptive of your guys’ proposals for regulations if you actually knew what the hell you were talking about. Spouting off nonsense like “do you REALLY need a semiautomatic long rifle to hunt” shows that your knowledge of firearms is exactly the same as Todd Akin’s knowledge of reproduction.
