I’m a 35 year old white collar single father born and raised third generation Austinite. I live in Georgetown (because I can afford it). I’ve used Uber twice (in San Antonio).

As somewhat an outsider (I can’t vote) and somewhat an insider (my grandfather worked construction on the upper deck and my family has been here ever since, up until a year ago) I’d just ask any undecided voters to 1) consider how this article affects real people; 2) consider what’s lost to Apple cab drivers; and 3) consider how 50 years of ridiculous transportation decisions have put us in this boat.
