Emissions for AAVE & stkAAVE Stakers
Bribe Protocol is excited to announce the commencement of BRIBE token emissions for stakers of AAVE and stkAAVE in the Aave Bribe pool. With BRIBE emissions turned on for the Aave Bribe pool, stakers can now stake, wait and earn stables when the voting powers of the pool are auctioned to a highest bidder, while acquiring BRIBE tokens.
Emissions are one crucial way DeFi protocols bootstrap TVL and reward community members for their support — either as early adopters of the protocol or by participating in governance decisions.
The parameters for BRIBE emissions are as follows:
- 75K of BRIBE will be allocated from February 15, 2022 to February 22, 2022
Opening Emissions for other pools on Bribe
Currently, the core team at Bribe sets the emissions parameters for existing pools, but this will change upon the full realization of the Bribe DAO. Once the Bribe DAO has been established, stakers of BRIBE will vote on the allocation of BRIBE emissions, which can include starting, increasing, reducing or even ending emissions for Bribe pools.
Beyond the emissions utility of BRIBE, the token serves two pivotal use-cases in the Bribe ecosystem. BRIBE’s first utility is staking. Bribe Protocol users can stake their BRIBE in any supported pool on Bribe and share 10% of the profits from bidding activity. Additionally, stakers of BRIBE who direct BRIBE emissions to a Bribe pool will hold voting power in that pool. Decisions such as proposal frequency, starting bids, and vetos may be made by governance of a particular Bribe pool. Check out this article for more information on the use cases of BRIBE.
