I learned a lot this week. The first thing that stands out the most is the Hawthorne Study. The second thing that stands out the most is technology is a connection to friendship.

I learned that your work is time, measured, and calculated. I also learned that your under surveillance because your manager is looking for efficiency. I used to work at a restaurant and it was brand new. In the beginning, my co-workers and I just stood around and talk stories to each other. My boss had a camera in the dining room, smoothie room, and kitchen. When he saw us standing around and talking stories, my boss would tell the manager on duty that we need to be something. Later on, my co-workers and I were always doing something. We weren’t allowed to stand around and do nothing. My boss didn’t like it.

I learned technology is a connection to friendship. I’ve been doing a blog site for many years. I didn’t have a lot of friends. However, I feel that is a good way to make friends. People would leave comments by replying to my post. I would return comments by replying to their post. That’s what I love about doing a blog site. People are more acceptable. You don’t have to be afraid to be yourself. You can post random things. People won’t judge you because they can relate to you based on their experience or knowledge. That’s how you build friendships. You go back and forth to each other’s site. Eventually, you become affiliates with each other. Other people will come to your blog site. I hope to gain more blog friends.
