I pretty much agree with all the comments here — this lawsuit is sad, biased and horrifying. But can anybody give me any reasons for the thinking behind it? Maybe somebody from a Texan or Christian background?

Even if this lawsuit is defeated, these sentiments are deep and cultural. It may not reach the law, but a christian doctor may still privately resent and even subconsciously sabotage a transgender person. We need to understand them — even though it’s frightening — to be able to reach their hearts.
