About Me

What’s your name, major and hometown?

Bridget Drufke, Public Relations, Mount Prospect, IL

What would be the most useful thing for me to know about you as a student?

I usually consider myself a visual learner so it helps to have visual examples of things in class.

What do you wish was different about school?

I wish classes were more interactive rather than listening to long lectures.

Describe a moment in school last year when you felt really engaged. Why do you think that moment was such a positive one for you?

In one of my PR classes last year, my professor would call up students to do improv for real-life PR situations. I think this was a positive way to get students to interact and understand how PR works.

What do you think teachers think about you, and what do you wish they’d think about you?

I think teachers probably think I am a quiet student. I wish they would think that although I may be quiet in class, I consider myself a good listener and an engaged student.

Tell me about a teacher who you feel knew you well. What kind of student were you in his or her class? What did he or she do to get to know you?

In high school I had a teacher who I felt knew me well since she did a great job of involving all the students and taking the time to learn more about us as individuals.

If you could build a school, what would it look like?

I would build a school that was mostly outdoors or had buildings with lots of natural sunlight from floor-to-ceiling windows.

What do you wish I would ask you so that I can be a good teacher for you?

I wish you would ask us what we plan on doing in the future and from there try to help us better prepare for our careers.

What makes a weekend day great for you?

A weekend day is great when I get to relax and not do any homework/work. I also like to see movies often.

Anything else to add?

Finally, include a photo of yourself in your Medium post so I can start putting faces to names.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
