For once someone said what I’ve been thinking for a long time. Most of inspirational quotes are common sense BS and you have to spend hours to find a decent one.

I don’t understand why inspo content is an absolute must in the writing and blogging community. Sure, I like to put in quotes from my favorite books, journalists, and comedians, but I also elaborate on what they said. Nobody does that anymore. They just drop a pretty-sounding quote and move on as if that explains everything they needed to say. Or they just copy + paste it for decoration that adds no substance to their actual article. It annoys me beyond reason.

Why do people think they can just slam a quote down and carry on? I don’t care what somebody else said! It’s their narrative; not yours.

I personally think the people who abuse these things are just too lazy to construct their own meaningful message.
