This is why I never tell people about my aspirations and goals — they exploit them, doing everything possible to make sure you never get anything accomplished. Because what you want to do, they can never even imagine wanting to do the same thing, and it threatens them. At least that’s what I’ve experienced. It threatens them that you want to develop the drive and persistence of someone who creates, for that is a rarity these days.

Besides, they may not even support you or what you’re doing, again because they feel threatened and want to knock you down a few notches to discourage you into not even trying. Telling you it’s a waste of time, it’s not what you’re cut out for, to go pursue something else, etc. They hate that you want to try, they hate that they aren’t you.

Then there are those people who will broadcast all their plans to the entire world and never take action. It’s always better to just start something, whatever you please, as you see fit. It’s better to make no promises to anybody except yourself and deliver what you can than it is to guarantee lots of things and underdeliver.
