I’m a 43 year old black Latino who’s been into metal, punk, industrial type music since I was 15. I’m still dismayed that the neo-nazi bonehead presence is still a thing. Notice I said bonehead NOT skinhead. True skinheads recognize and respect the black roots inherent in rock and ska music. I remember back in the day going to hardcore shows and seeing the boneheads getting their asses handed to them them by the SHARP’s (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice). This was in NYC and I realize that the south may more tolerant of these sort of idiots. I still go the metal shows but prefer the punk scene mostly- they tend to more politically aware/active and far less welcoming towards racist, sexist, homophobic garbage.

I now live in Minneapolis, which am I proud to say is relatively nazi free. If one of these bigots would dare show themselves at one of our shows, I know a bunch of punks that will come down on them like a ton of bricks.
