Self-Improvement

Do something small, become something great.

“The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail.” — Charles R. Swindoll

You can always be better than you were yesterday.
You can always find something to improve.
You can always exceed your own expectations.

But why? It’s such a small, tedious thing. This business of making oneself better. But when you stop and think about it, how hard is it, really? As far as I can tell, two things are absolutely required—an open mind and willingness. The key is to be willingready to do something without being persuaded, to make whatever change necessary. But the attention to detail is the fibers in the fabric; to recognize that you’re making the change for yourself, not because you want something in return but because you honestly want to grow. To be better than yesterday.

Today, I’m both fortunate and grateful to have been in a position to receive such a friendly reminder. While I’m excited for the challenge tomorrow will bring, i’m more excited for an opportunity to do something small to become something great.
