How your mindset empowers your life
Here I am trying to figure out how to write this blog, how to engage people into reading what a motivated and driven 24 year old woman has to say about the life lessons she has incurred so far in her life and how I continually stay hungry for the next thing. I don’t write I never have I hardly even read but I know moving forward how important reading actually is and its a true goal of mine is to fill my mind with so much information that I can continually grow. In the last few months my life has changed, I have been lucky enough to meet that one influential person; you know that person that just makes you get it. That person that inspires you to unleash your full potential, that one person that can change your mindset forever.
I have spent the last few months so so hungry to reach my goals, to learn about why goal attainment is so important and to believe in myself. You have to believe you can achieve and believe success has your name written on it. You have to let go completely of the idea that success is something others obtain. You are in charge of your success. You are so in control of getting everything you want, there is no shortage of success so why cant you have everything you have ever wanted? I bet you struggle to answer that and if you do answer I bet you just thought of an excuse because the effort seems to intense to justify. I will tell you something that I have learnt in the last 60 days, you must be willing to do what others wont do to be successful. You must wake up everyday hungry, motivated and driven. You must be thinking how though? How do I stay hungry, motivated and driven? Its simple; create momentum. You must apply yourself everyday with every task you are presented with and it will become a way of life. I am so passionate about this subject that I am literally hitting my keyboard so fast because the words just flow out. I just want to scream to the world and to all the people that doubt them self to stop! You are your worst enemy if you allow it.
Before I get any further into this I just want you to know I am writing to you with honesty from the bottom of my heart, not something I have just come up with because it sounds good, I am writing in my own time to help others and doing that is the only thing that is truly important to me; I want you to believe in your abilities. I continually have messages sent to me via social media asking how I stay so motivated and so driven and I honestly don't know the answer that will instantly get you up and at it but what I do know is I wonder how you are not? How can you not want to set yourself up for a lifestyle that brings you adrenaline because you constantly win? Who doesn't want that?
I want to rewind and get back to who I am and how I have overcome the obstacles in my life, we all have them and I haven't always been like this so let me enlighten you as to why everything you want begins with your mindset.
Some of you may be sitting there reading this thinking oh here we go another motivational piece of writing that I will quickly read and quickly forget, well guess what, that is the exact reason why you need to read this. For the people that have genuinely felt the desire to read what I have to say are the ones that want to know what I do to stay consistent with my belief in myself and my capabilities to get what I want from life. I am no one extraordinary but I know I will be.. that's the difference, I know I will be.
I believe the age between 18–24 is 6 years of continuous growth and continuous pressure on yourself to decide what to do with your life, your time and your energy. I will say this, majority of us are raised to get a good education with a well paying job and create a happy and healthy family, I will tell you what we are not taught that should one of the first things we are…you don't have to be the smartest but you do have to be hungry, ambitious and know that if you apply yourself to everything you do you will get the result you desire. No amount of education can win against a phenomenal amount of motivation and persistence. How many of you fail and use that as a strong tool to win? How many of you that are reading this see the so called failure as the end? Guess what; you never fail if you learn and if you will never fail if you get back up and try again. Isn't it funny, I have been in your position and I know seeing quotes like what I just said seem like words written down yet so far out of reach, its not. This entire blog is me expressing to you why you need to take control of your mind, what you think about is what you will be about and it is as simple as that.
I have a question for you. Do you believe in yourself? Do you believe you will reach all those goals you have inside your mind? Do you write your goals down everyday? ? Do you even have goals?Or do you not have time?See that is the thing… we ALL have time. You are in charge of creating a small amount of time for goal attainment. Goal attainment is so very important for one simple reason, it will keep you in touch with your goals every single day so they are in your mind and in your heart. I had the pleasure of being enlighted with audio books and the power they have on influencing everything I do. There is one man that I absolutely admire and his name is Mr Grant Cardone, if you don't know his name you should. Mr Cardone created the Ten X rule and the ten x rule is the only difference between success and failure. If you apply ten x the effort to everything you do in your day it will create ten x the result and even if you come short of ten x the result you will still gain much more than applying 1 times the effort. I will not go into Grant Cardone to much in this blog but you know his name and that should be enough for you to find out as much as you can about this powerful man.See below an image of Mr Cardone himself.

This frame of mind isn't for everyday but if you are reading this you don't want to be everybody, you don't want to be average because you believe you have the potential for a wonderful life. My advice at this point for you if you are in a dark place and wanting to embrace a happy and fulfilling life you must start with a gratitude list. Gratitude is the key to happiness no matter how bad things may seem we always have things to be grateful for. When you wake up tomorrow before you check social media for comments and likes, make sure you like yourself first, grab yourself a notebook and a pen and begin with ten things you are sincerely appreciative of.
The next thing you need to do is create momentum and only allow a certain amount of time for things to make you sad. Everything you feel and everything that you do is a reflection of your choice. I know things can be so very hard in this world and a lot of pain we feel is from what we allow others to make us feel. I cant explain enough how important it is to understand that not everybody will like you, you will be rejected several times in your life and that is okay. Rejection is not a true reflection of the things you are missing but the things someone is searching for that may not be in you and that is also okay. Could you imagine how insignificant love would be if rejection wasn't a thing? Could you actually imagine if whoever you wanted to fall in love with you could? The intimacy between two people is a rare and beautiful thing, wait for it and do not for a second beat yourself up because you feel its so far out of reach due to a past of disappointment.
The most important thing for me that I have done for myself is that I learnt the importance of loving myself. I created the best version that I possibly could and I actually couldn't be more proud of the kind soul I have. I will tell you the best part about it, when someone tries to make me feel like you are not good enough, or they show no respect you can so easily walk away from the negativity with the thought in your mind that you are so thankful that you do not treat people like they do.
I can guarantee finding that one thing for yourself that gives you confidence will be the most empowering thing you could possibly do. I had a time in my life when I was so very lost, my heart was broken and I didn't see a very happy future because the one I loved I know longer had… sound familiar? If somebody had of told me a few years later I would be writing a blog post about the power of the mind I would have laughed.. like really? Me, positive when things were hard?
I found fitness. Fitness is the most amazing, rewarding, contagious, addictive and positive regular action you can put into place in your life to give you the most empowering feeling throughout your entire body and frame of mind that once you begin you will never stop. It has been just over 2 years since I took my first step into a gym, with absolutely no idea what I was doing or what I was trying to achieve. I was lucky enough to have a friend show me the ropes and from there I just kept learning and teaching myself new things.
I am now extremely addicted to lifting heavy and pushing my body and my mind. I taught myself about what nutritious foods my body requires and I made it a lifestyle to live healthy because a healthy life creates a healthy mind. I will leave this post as is for now and I will regularly post about things I feel and things I feel will benefit those in need of that one thing that will help them see the potential in them self. I am a happy, positive and motivated woman now and I am so very thankful I took control and decided what I would allow in my life. Stay posted for more- Brit xx
