It definitely won’t take 20 years, because ISPs are *already* even more consolidated than media companies today. The root of the problem is that ISPs have been allowed to behave almost as if they own the physical infrastructure that gets the cable to your house, giving them monopoly power. That’s BS because it all goes over public utility corridors. It’s yet another case of private companies figuring out how to effectively appropriate goods that the public pays for (like drug companies selling you back the results of publicly funded research with zero compensation).
