Adding easy-peasy tasks to my To-Do List, just to check them off? Guilty as charged! My favorites are: walk dog and shower. ;)

“ …if you’re the type to write something pointless down just so you can cross it off your list. Just be honest with yourself that crossing off “pick up coffee” and “follow up with top leads” are not equally productive.”

The author hit the nail on the head, however, I do find that the small satisfaction that comes with seeing more checkmarks than empty boxes helps motivate me throughout the day.

Tasks are never equal, but I created a self-rule that I must drag the uncompleted tasks over to the next day’s list. The small shame associated with this helps me not to go more than a day or two before completing even the most difficult tasks on my list.

Working from home, self-discipline is a necessary evil.
