New Kaytranada Produced Track From Cadence Weapon
“My Crew (Wooo)” is the new track from Canadian rapper Cadence Weapon and is produced by Montreal’s Kaytranada. The song was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beat 1 radio show today and draws on Cadence’s experiences in Montreal’s underground music scene. (Comment)

Preserving Historic St-Henri Housing
A study is being organized to identify and preserve some historic sectors of St-Henri. There are a good number of homes which date back to the 1800s and need to be protected, especially in light of the neighbourhood’s “boom” in recent years. This project seems timely, as it doesn’t take much for developers to swoop in and change the identity of St-Henri completely with a few ugly condos. (Comment)
Monkland Street Fest Gets The Axe
Borough councillors have refused to fund the festival, forcing the event organizers to put the show on hold for the foreseeable future. A newly formed business association might step in with some other options, but it’s all up in the air as to when or what the alternative might be. (Comment)
