Winter is coming (I had to say it… I’m sorry) and so are the holidays. Odds are you have a Game of Thrones lover on your list, and HBO has you covered.
One of the best networks on tv just released a brand new limited edition Blu-ray boxset of Game of Thrones Seasons 1. This new edition SteelBook features a metal exterior and a plastic interior, too stand out on your shelf. Also included is some very nice new cover art from Elastic, the company that designed the iconic Game of Thrones opening sequence.
So what’s in the box?.
A collectible sigil magnet emblazoned with the Stark family crest. Who knew fridge magnets could look so sexy? Now your grocery lists can be held in style.
A brand spanking new remixed Dolby Altmos soundtrack. If you have the proper speakers the sound effects, dialogue, and music are going make you feel like you’re right there in the action. Seriously, I tested this out on a Sonos surround set up and I was completely immersed. Don’t worry, even out of your TV speakers you will notice quite a difference.
Five discs worth of entertainment are enclosed inside the packaging. You have three disks on the left, and two disks on the right. You could easily spend a few days checking it all out.
If season 1 isn’t enough for you, season 2 is also available now. HBO has stated they are working on season 3 and 4 and should be released next year.
