You posit these ideas as an either/or. I love some of these ideas. Why can’t they go along with a basic income?
Remember, a basic income is not about identifying “NBA All-Stars”, its a better, more effective, more efficient way to support people’s dreams. End the humiliation and inefficiency of restricted benefits. End the boondoggles of government-picked incentive plans (well, at least tone them down) that are well intentioned but full of unintended consequences.
Then, in addition to that, try these other great ideas, too.
(A future NBA All-Star whose growth is stunted because of lack of nutrition will never be discovered.)
