THIS CHANNEL WILL OVERTAKE PEWDIEPIE! (LWIAY Published on Aug 29, 2018)
My fellow bros, my fellow brethren, my fellow comrades. The time has come for us to fight back. No more will we become oppressed by mainstream media, no more will I take this online abuse and hatred. No more will I say: “I’m sorry, I messed up, okay?”
And you know why? Because we’re failing. Another Youtube channel is taking over. In no less than in November this year PewDiePie will not be the biggest channel on Youtube. That would be pretty nice actually… NO! We must fight back.

Who is this T-Series channel? I’m number one. I’m number one! No more lame boxing matches. I challenge T-Series into a saber fight like real men. I’m throwing my glove at you T-Series. Fight me. IRL, to the death. No boxing gloves and helmets. I’m talking about to the death here.
The only way I can stay relevant is to get the Indians subscribing to me. If they won’t accept my sword challenge then the only thing we can do is fight fire with fire: smash subscribe!
The BrofistCoin team has got your back, Felix!
This is a very serious matter. We cannot allow T-Series to win. They are going to take over in a few months unless all of the 9 year olds stick together. Therefore I am proud to announce, on behalf of the BrofistCoin team, that we are ready to support and join you in the battle ahead.
We have already allocated a total of 2.5 million BrofistCoin to the PewDiePie’s Ethereum wallet and we believe this will be enough to fund the Great Meme War of our time.
Together we shall triumph! Felix, if you’re reading this, we hope that you will contact us and claim your share of the BrofistCoin and use them to hire troops for the upcoming battle.
LWIAY review
Let’s put the serious matters of war aside for a moment and see what went down during this past week in the PewDiePie Submissions subreddit, shall we?
Overall we had above average memes this week and almost all of the featured memes had well over 10k upvotes.
It’s common to have top memes at around 10–15k and at the lower end it’s normal to find memes with as low as 2–3k upvotes, however this week, out of the 18 memes that got featured, only 3 got less than 10k upvotes. Clearly the 9 year olds have been busy.
What’s more, on the 2nd place we find a meme that was submitted over 2 months ago. Talk about digging up old threads…
Top 3 memes of the week
Getting your meme featured in one of the LWIAY episodes is great, but to truly win the meme game, you must be among the top 3 memes based on the upvotes received from the community. Because only the best of the best will win the ultimate meme prize- the BrofistCoin.

#1 place — “Ayyy” by aayushks
On the 1st place this week we have aayushks’s meme titled simply “Ayyy” featuring Jake and Logan Paul.

Honestly I don’t even care what the backstory is, but nevertheless congratulations aayushks for winning the LWIAY this week! Be sure to claim your 41.6 BrofistCoin.
#2 place — “don’t say anything, let’s just get felix to see this post” by meldiepie
It’s interesting to me that this meme was posted 2 months ago so why is it blowing up now? I don’t recall seeing it before, but of course I’m not constantly available to watch memes all day long. Some days I just get hit in the head with a mirror and end up with a concussion… but anyways, the meme:

Look at him go… good boi Felix! And congratulations meldiepie for posting this meme and winning the 2nd place in this week’s episode. Your prize in the amount of 35.1 BrofistCoin is waiting for you.
#3 place — “ When you have memes ready for KSI losing to Logan Paul and also memes ready for Logan Paul losing to KSI and its a draw.” by i_like_spaghettttt
Yeah we feel your pain. A lot of us, PewDiePie included, had made these memes beforehand. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed by the stunt these guys pulled. Obvious staging is obvious. But what can you do… I guess we should’ve seen it coming.

The meme itself is of course completely unoriginal, but it’s the thought that counts, right? I don’t even know any more to be honest. I’m still recovering from the concussion. Anyhow, well done i_like_spaghettttt and I hope you will enjoy your prize of 23.2 BrofistCoin.
What is BrofistCoin anyway?
In case you’re wondering, BrofistCoin is an actual cryptocurrency built on top of the Ethereum network. The main purpose of BrofistCoin is to give meme authors an incentive to create higher quality memes and that’s the reason we are doing weekly BrofistCoin giveaways after every LWIAY episode. You can read more about our project on our website brofistcoin.io
We chose Ethereum as our base because unlike Bitcoin, we can built additional decentralized applications and even full blown games on the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
In fact we are currently working on a meme related trading cards game and hope to release a playable demo within a few weeks (or months). At first, you will only be able to play against a computer, but eventually you can play against your friends as well.

The trading cards will be deployed as ERC721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain which means that you can actually own, trade and sell your trading cards. And because we are going to limit the total supply of each card, some, more powerful cards, can become very rare.
BrofistCoin will be used to purchase those cards. The rarer the card, the more expensive it will be. So what are you waiting for? Start submitting epic memes in the PewDiePie Submissions subreddit for your chance to win the cryptocurrency of the memes!
