If this was a compiled language I wouldn’t have a problem with what you’re saying. This is not a compiled language. As much as possible I try to avoid the gargantuan tool chains that seem to follow JS development these days, because in my judgement they’re harder to manage than a few shorted function names.
Learning is what coders do. If the coder hasn’t figured out what sto() or ge() or qsa() does after the 10th exposure, I get another coder, because there’s clearly a learning issue involved. I’m pretty sure that the argument could be made versus $ or _ as well, but those seem to be pretty popular.
