Meanwhile, the Jewish mother that I’m born from, became anxious and eager about our engagement. She had offered to help Jacob get engagement and wedding rings, but he hadn’t picked up the phone. After she saw us at Thanksgiving in 2016, she called me the next day and told me she wanted to offer the rings as gift and wanted to take me with her.
