Wow… There’s nothing quite like finding that key in your pocket to the cage you’ve built around yourself to keep the bad guys out. Over time, we forget we built it and that we also built a way out of it for good measure.

I love this. Seeing my own innocence and wisdom in doing something that doesn’t serve me — knowing that I must be doing it because on some level I believe it serves me. So much easier to let it go once I see it doesn’t serve me.

Also, reminds me of Ludwig Wittgenstein:

“A man will be imprisoned in a room with a door that is unlocked and opens inwards as long as it does not occur to him to pull rather than push.”
