What I learned not drinking for two years

I’ve been getting the “you don’t drink????” response for well over three decades now. (I just didn’t ever start. I still haven’t the slightest bit of interest in it — although I cook with wine because it’s great for deglazing pans and deepening the flavor of sauces. Dark ale in chili — heck yeah. That’s the extent of my truck with booze.) Yes, I’m regarded with disbelief, outright suspicion, and worries that I’m somehow judging those around me who drink. No, I’ve never been drunk. (Nor do I want to find out what it’s like. “But you’ll enjoy it!” Will I?) How do I have a good time? Uh — by just having one? This is a problem?
