Beeb Kingdom Celebrates Folard’s Overtime Goal.

Beartalk has been known for winning hockey for many years, but now in 2023–24, while trying to win a tenth straight title, they fall short to Beeb Kingdom in 7 Games. Beeb Kingdom does deserve some credit though, because they were supposed to be the worst team in the tournament aside from Meepton.

For Beartalk, they won their first series 4–2 over their biggest rival, Monkeytalk. To follow that up, Beartalk beats Ploodia 4–0. In the second last round of the tournament, Beatalk trails 2–0 to Bundia, but comes back and wins the series 4–3. Now, in the finals, Beartalk strikes first and goes up 2–0. Then, Beeb Kingdom ties the series, just to lose their next game. Facing elimination, Beeb Kingdom holds on and wins the sixth game 3–2. Now, in the final game, Beartalk takes a 3–1 lead entering the third, but has to face a tie game after 3 periods. In overtime, Beeb Kingdom’s Jameson Folard scores a backhanded shot to win the tournament for Beeb Kingdom, and to complete his hat trick.

Now, Beartalk must think about next year. They will be without important players such as Frederick Morro, Cameron Redkeck, and J.J. Monadon due to retirement. They will also be without Cole Commer because of a concussion that might keep him out for multiple years. On the other hand, Beeb Kingdom will finally be able to bring Harry Torochenken and Graham Swendon to the team because they’ll be too old for the junior team. We will also see Kyle Yurry join the team because he will have finally recovered from his torn ACL.

The main takeaway for Beartalk from the tournament would be to not get overly comfortable with your lead because they got way too comfortable when they led 2–0 in the finals. That allowed Beeb Kingdom to get right back in the game, when they probably would’ve lost another game. The takeaway for Beeb Kingdom is to always try, because even if you’re down you can still come back and win a game, series, or whole entire tournament.
