This is something I believe Galen has written on at length. I think it’s important for us all to remember that, especially when times are hard because I think we (not just you and I, Amanda) all have a tendency to be way too hard on ourselves. Too critical.

I recently passed up a funding opportunity for travel to an important conference in my field because I didn’t feel ‘diverse’ enough to apply for a first time attendee’s award… I think this is a similar example to the “…but I’m not trans enough” argument, which I definitely go back and forth on myself. At the moment, I’m not sure it will be any easier for me, so I hope it is for you!
