“The End is Our Beginning”

Based on Isaiah 24

Isaiah 24 is a portion of scripture we normally are uncomfortable contemplating because it shows a side of God we prefer to stay away from, His wrath.

The entire chapter is a glimpse into an earth that has gone mad and a Righteous God that had to execute His justice on the inhabitants of earth. The earth and it’s population is totally decimated. The anger, judgment and justice of God is totally and completely unleashed. The proud are brought low and if it were not for God’s mercy all of earth and it’s inhabitants would be lost forever!

As you allow yourself to become part of the story in chapter 24, just when you are at that place of despair, there is a verse at the end that gives you sweet relief and here’s what it says:

Isaiah 24:23; Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the LORD of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously.

Wait…there will be elders on Mount Zion! All is not lost because those who love The God of Israel will be with Him in Jerusalem and we who believe in Yeshua, Jesus, will behold Him in His glory! Amen and Hallelujah!

In the beginning of this insight I said “the end is our beginning.” What did I mean you may ask?

Our Lord went to great lengths in Matthew 24 to describe a scenario on earth that will be so awful that nothing like it has nor will it ever happen again. Matthew 24 is a dress rehearsal of Isaiah 24, with lots of commentary to provide us with a clearer picture of end of days events and culture.

For us to enjoy a glorious forever, with The Lord, and for all things to be made right and nature and humans to be brought into a glorious new age, that I believe is on our near horizon, the justice and wrath of God must be executed during the last 1,260 days as outlined by scripture in Revelation chapters 11 and 12.

The Great Tribulation that Isaiah 24 describes must happen so God’s eternal desire and plan, since the Garden of Eden, can finally be realized!

Would God prefer that He not have to exercise His judgment and wrath that will bring about countless deaths and suffering? YES absolutely! However, love, justice and compassion dictate that those who have sided with evil must be dealt with at some point in time. Therefore Isaiah 24 is coming and it could be coming sooner than many of us realize.

As I become older the title below makes more sense to me now then when I was younger.

God bless you as you live out your faith.
