I agree with you in this digital age that it is very hard to be a proper role model for our children considering the everlasting stream of dopamine that our body generates when it gets a digital reward in the form of messages, likes, and whatnot. Especially if it provides a way to relax after a hard day of work.

Children copy our and their environment’s behaviour and thus we should be more concerned and vigilant on our own pitfalls, such as excessive screen time so that it does not lead to problems for our sons and daughters.

I applaud you for your intention not to use any mobile phones in the proximity of your son.
