Do Something Fun

I had originally planned to do my fun activity on Saturday. Unfortunately, I got caught up with other (planned) fun activities. Monday night, in search of a suitable unplanned fun activity, my friend happened to ask if I wanted to go watch the presidential debate at the Riverview Theater in south Minneapolis. It was actually even more fun than I expected it to be, with lots of great conversation, heckling, and popcorn.

Suggested Themes

  • Noise/Sound Therapy: We all know that music can have substantial impacts on our emotions. Many people don’t think about the non-musical sounds and tones that surround us at all times. These noises combine to make a constant drone that we typically don’t even think about, but can have hidden effects on our mood and mental state.
  • Sleep quality: Sleep makes up one third of our lifetimes. Making sure that we stay healthy during these periods with productive sleep cycles is vitally important to our health and well being during the other two-thirds.
  • Fighting addiction: As a person who successfully quit a heavy smoking habit, this is a personal one. Addiction, especially to more potent drugs and alcohol, ruins lives in short order. It affects basically all aspects of daily life for those who suffer from it. It also is easily ignored by those who are not directly affected.
