We are back!

Matt Rebelo and I are back from vacation!

So in my last post I talked about how I was going to try and drink my Vega protein powder, and I did… and it was awful. I was super grainy and it was very thick. So almost immediately I started searching the internet for a new plant based protein powder. The first one that came up was a brand called Aloha. I started reading the reviews and found that they were all positive and they solved a lot of the problems that I was having. I went to Target and purchased the individual packets, it is 5 in a box for about $11.99 (I believe).

So since I did not do what I said I was going to do I decided that I was going to forget about my diet and eat whatever I wanted! It was my vacation and Matt stuck by my side and ditched his protein powder as well. Now that we are home I can see by my weight gain that that might have not be a good idea but it was fun while it lasted.

June first was our start date and we have been doing well. It’s been hard only because we don’t have a lot of food in the house, but once we go shopping its going to be great! We are going to start bringing our lunch in everyday and we both are working on eating less carbs and more protein.

This is the chart that I look at to keep track of my carbs, fat and protein. You are able to modify the percentage based on what your diet is, I have chosen to have equal amount of fat and carbs but just a little more protein. I hope to meet each percentage at some point. Using MyFitnessPal to track everything has gotten a lot easier and has made me more conscience about what I am eating. #everydayisastruggle
