Your last question was a little shocking, because I did not learn this in North Carolina public school textbook. I graduated from high school in 2001 and my historical lessons were from teachers who substituted our textbooks. However, the substituted lectures were reviewed and monitored. I cannot verify if historical facts were not presented due to adults not knowing or told not to share, but I learned more after my 12 years of public schooling in North Carolina.

Thank you for performing fact checks. I would like to join the group that appreciates your efforts in providing the facts. It is obvious that some still choose to believe historical inaccuracies rather than embrace the lifetime learner mentality. This mentality requires an open mind and a hunger to experience or re-experience ideas.
