The ones I spoke to love emergent software engineering methods because they (a) allowed them to interact with developers more effectively and (b) allowed them to ship features. They almost universally acknowledged that these development methodologies weren’t the panacea, since product managers deal with a broad range of challenges. Some square pegs (i.e. wicked problems) fit not the round hole (i.e. agile).
