A Minimum Viable Effort — A pilot series on #TLDRHACK culture (I just made up on the spot lol)
Did you know that I put off committing to writing a blog for nearly a decade because I had analysis over paralysis over which static generator I wanted to use? (TLDR: just use wordpress and generate a static html). Anyways, even after I knew the TLDR note, I couldn’t be bothered to figure out how to start a wordpress blog.
I love TLDR. I wish everytihng was TLDR. My Econ degree might as well been a lesson on drawing graphs.
This is the sad sad state of affairs in 2018. I remember when people didn’t give a shit if I posted over at blogpost. God knows how much of that trash is still floating out there. I was an unstable mid something 20s like who isn’t lol.
I mean even putting together a pricing page plugin on wordpress is still a multi stage effort. Go to google, figure out which is trust worthy, follow the digitaloceans guide or wordpress.com, I don’t know and I don’t want to think about it. it fucking hurts my brain.
Worse, the pain of discovering a domain name that is catchy and hip itself consumes a lot of cognitive resources. I save the fuel for when I need it….which is never but occassionally useful to have a reserve of cognitive fuel…that in turn allows me to focus intensely and obsessively over a single subject for years, or what I borrow from the people that know dissapointment and suicide all too well: “The Lost Decade”. (I shall write on the tragedy later both the national disagrace that was the Tokyo Asset bubble crisis and my own failures in a SaaS venture).
I digress. So this is a cool little idea I thought of last night just before I went to bed and then I recalled it again this morning. (TLDR: recalling an idea spontaneously before and after sleeping means its fucking good-source: me). Anyhow, here is the TLDR hack.
I’m going to keep track on the web statistics and it’d be interesting to see if I can get any sales! It sure would be a dream come true if I could support myself doing this, let’s see if I can make my dream of reaching 4000 USD/month.
That right there was a #TLDRHACK
