I strongly agree. Openness and dialogue is something we badly need as we navigate this critical transition phase in human history. However, I don’t know running from cowards and bullies is an effective response. After all, they could eventually track you down wherever you go on the Internet if you are the focus of their fear.

They may be attempting to destroy a new channel for individual expression before it can become established. Medium is trying to be one of those avenues, and we really need it, and more. From this perspective, I would encourage new voices to persist in their efforts on Medium as it works through these teething pains. In my experience, bullies eventually fade away as their targets persist in the face of these attacks. We need courage and persistence on the part of our change agents because the old ways always resist the new with their death throes. Your light is greater than their fear.
