Hey Peter, not thinking about myself as great mind, but thanks for the response.

I get, and absolutely share, the frustration, but that’s not what this post says or what we think. It’s an argument for increased density in a specific segment of housing, by bundling resources like cooking per building instead of per apartment, that helps everyone.

We looked at housing in cities like SF or NY in a million different ways, our co-founder Kim is one of the most noted voices on the complexity of those issues, see her latest post at http://techcrunch.com/2016/01/27/a-long-game/

The point is: We can rant or we can start somewhere. And taking the pressure out of peak inequality cities like SF or London or NY by making it more plausible for people to move somewhere else, and thus distribute more evenly, is the best we could come up with.

If you have better ideas, please share. Seriously. Because it’s a fucking complicated problem and we (us as company, you as non-profit) need all the mutual help we can get.
